St. Martin's Day 2026

St. Martin's Day is celebrated on 11 November, sometimes the evening before, in parts of the Netherlands, Belgium and northern France. The custom is a lantern procession, in Limburg often with a bonfire. The same day, the eleventh of the eleventh, is the start of the carnival season. Source: nl.wikipedia.org
